This charming 90m2 apartment is located in the emblematic neighborhood of “Gracia”, in Barcelona. A comprehensive reform, decoration and styling has been carried out.
When our client called us to see the apartment, he asked us about the potential we saw in it, we immediately realized that the potential was incredible, it was a 1,900 farm with soaring ceilings and beautiful, well-preserved woodwork, the idea was to preserve To the maximum the elements of the period but with a touch of modernity, the first thing we did was do a tasting of the ceilings to see if we had the wooden beams behind! And “et voilá”, they were there and in very good condition so we restored them and left them visible.
In the living-dining room and kitchen we follow the open concept philosophy and we opted for a total white kitchen, and we added an oak wood bar to create an informal office area.
The floor throughout the house is natural oak and we chose hydraulic-type tiles for the kitchen and bathrooms.
With regard to furniture and styling, we bet on original furniture and classic-rustic style, but with modern details such as gold or black to counteract the look of the house. In the accessories we decided on natural materials and warm colors with some touches of color to give the house that CHIC touch, which we love as a final result!
We also enhance the rear terrace of the house, creating a summer dining area and another more informal area with the acapulco chairs, we designed a custom outdoor furniture as a laundry room to put the washing machine and cleaning products, and thus not subtract one m2 to the interior area of the house.
